Lukas Willmer specializes in trade compliance and economic security and advises on all aspects of foreign trade law. He focuses in particular on issues related to European export control law, embargoes and sanctions, as well as customs law.

Lukas Willmer studied law at Humboldt University in Berlin and King’s College London and is currently completing his doctorate at Humboldt University on issues related to the recognition of governments under international law. He completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal, including placements at the Federal Foreign Office and the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York.
