Franziska Kaiser specializes in all aspects of trade compliance. Her practice focuses on customs and anti-dumping law, including special customs procedures, customs authorizations, and tariff classification issues, as well as export controls, embargoes, and sanctions, including goods classification and licensing procedures with the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). In addition, she advises on excise tax law, particularly regarding tobacco, alcohol, and coffee taxes.

Another key area of her practice is sustainability, with a focus on sustainable and circular supply chains, including the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Franziska Kaiser represents clients in litigation, particularly in defending against additional assessments and enforcing claims for tax relief and refunds. She advises on the establishment of internal compliance systems, assists with on-site audits, and conducts audits of existing processes. She regularly publishes and speaks on topics related to foreign trade law and supply chain compliance.
