

Marie Pètre, LL.M. (Edinburgh) advises on EU regulations in the area of ESG/sustainability, value/supply chains and responsible business. In addition, she also advises on European and international standards, standard development, certification and other forms of collaborative action.
From 2000 to 2015, Marie was an attorney in international law firms in Brussels, advising companies in the life sciences and tech sectorson corporate and commercial law questions. In 2015 she joined GS1 GlobalOffice, the global supply chain standards organisation, where she served as General Counsel until late 2023. In 2024, she created her own legal practice focused on standards, sustainability and value chain regulations. She joined Cattwyk in November 2025.
Marie studied law at the Université de Namur and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. She also holds an LL.M in International Public Law, EU Law and International Criminal Law from the University of Edinburgh andan Executive Master in Sustainability Transformation from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
