Franziska Kaiser specializes in all aspects of trade compliance and specific sustainability requirements in the supply chain. Her practice focuses on customs and anti-dumping law, including special customs procedures, customs authorizations, and tariff classification issues. She also specializes in export controls, embargoes, and sanctions, including goods classification and licensing procedures before the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK).
Another focus of her work is excise tax law, including tobacco, alcohol, and coffee tax law.
She also advises on compliance standards in the supply chain, in particular the EU Packaging Regulation (Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste - PPWR).
Franziska Kaiser supports clients in all litigation proceedings, in particular in defending against additional import duty assessments or enforcing remission and refund claims. She advises on the establishment of internal compliance systems, assists with external audits, and conducts audits of existing processes.
