Caroline Walka, LL.M. (Edinburgh) specializes in all matters relating to foreign trade law. Her advisory focus includes, among other things, German and European export controls, sanctions and embargoes, as well as foreign direct investment (FDI) screening. She also advises companies on compliance standards along the entire supply chain.
Caroline Walka studied law at Freie Universität Berlin and the Universidad de Granada. In 2021, she obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Public Law from the University of Edinburgh. She completed her legal traineeship at the Berlin Court of Appeal (Kammergericht Berlin), with stages at an international commercial law firm, the Berlin Senate Administration, and an NGO in Windhoek, Namibia. Most recently, she worked as an attorney at an international commercial law firm in the areas of foreign trade law and sustainability.
